0:00That's the question game.0:04There's no right or wrong answer.0:06There's no proper thing to say.0:08Did you read a question?0:09Oh, you want me to take a question?0:11Yeah.0:12Oh, hey, I'm with that.0:15King.0:17That was yours.0:19That was yours.0:21Okay, this is a good one.0:23In ten years, I hope I'm not here.0:28No. In 10 years, I hope I'm not still fighting the things that I have fought for a lot of my life.0:42I mean, I don't know if I ever ran my story for you guys, told you why I was out there like that, on coke, on heroin.0:53I'd like to blame it on my family, say it was all their fault, but I really can't.0:56My mom was an alcoholic, drank heavily all day.1:02My father was a workaholic. He was never home.1:06Reminds me a lot of when I hear you talk about your dad.1:11And I just got in with some guys who were a real negative influence on me1:18and we started running on the streets.1:21Pretty soon you start robbing people and you start justifying1:25that it's okay to rob people and it goes from taking something that, you know, somebody leaves somewhere1:29or breaking into a car to busting somebody in the head.1:32And I had a friend named Sincere. That was his nickname.1:38And he said he knew how to get some easy drugs and some easy money.1:41And we went to this guy's house.1:45And Sincere pulled a gun I didn know he had a gun And the gun wasn loaded And he pointed it at the guy and some dude came out of a closet1:59Didn't even know the closet was over there.2:00He had a sawed-off shotgun.2:02Shot my friend in the chest.2:04Blew his chest open.2:06And they actually had a good laugh about it2:09when they discovered that the gun was not loaded.2:13They didn't even really look at him or look at me.2:15I mean, it's like I was invisible.2:20And they walked out, and I threw up, and I ran out.2:26And I got on a bus with as much money as I could beg,2:30and I got out to the ocean.2:34And slept on the ocean for about a week, two weeks.2:40And then met this guy who was a doctor.2:45And there's just something about him that made me feel safe,2:50like I could talk.2:52And I told him about my life and how I ended up there.2:55And he gave me the number for this charter house.2:58And slowly but surely, I just started putting shit together.3:01You know, I started taking classes.3:03Realized that I wasn't alone.3:06And got involved working, doing what JC and Charlie do at a hospital,3:13and then started taking night courses to try and get my degree in psychology.3:17And I'm on my way here with you guys.3:19And I'm glad I'm here.3:21But in 10 years, I hope I am able to deal more with where I came from3:27and forgive myself, because I still blame myself a lot for that,3:30and I hurt my parents a lot.3:31But I really hope in 10 years I'm able to forgive myself and really look at life positively.3:41That's my dream.
