0:00Been a tech since we came here last.0:02Kinda feels like the early days. Yeah.0:05Ha! You corny egg.0:10I did some digging. No matter how you slice it, no curing the incurable.0:14Add to that a proven cyberpsychosis risk you'd have better luck sharing a bald sheep.0:18It's a lost cause.0:20I see.0:22At least by conventional means.0:24Ever hear of Soulkiller? Hmm?0:27It's tech that can copy, digitize and store a person's mind.0:31Yeah. It was cooked up in Arasaka's kitchen, wasn't it?0:34I remember it now. They showed it because of some kind of critical defect.0:39Right. The digitizing memories part worked like a dream.0:42Problem is, all the tubes they were testing on went brain dead.0:45Shit was cut and paste. Can't copy a soul, turns out.0:49Hmm. Guess that explains the name.0:52Official company line as they scrapped the project commercially.0:56Okay so what are you getting at The research never stopped It just off the books now It worth too much These digitized souls they extract People memories their psyche whatever1:08They call them constructs. And they still see potential there.1:12They even got close to transferring one to another person's body.1:16So yeah, what I'm getting at. Say we get our mitts on this wonder tech.1:20We scoop out the girl's soul, find it a new brain to call home.1:24Her flesh is sick, not her mind.1:26Well, I'll be damned.1:29Oh, hold on.1:31Said they've only gotten close, right?1:33Meaning there's never been a successful transfer?1:35And that's the bitch of it.1:37We've got nothing to go on besides whispers and old wives' tales,1:40including rumors the lead devs of Flatline.1:43That or defected to Kang Tao for the Eddies.1:46Damn hard to say for sure.1:48If there's real proof to be found,1:50it's buried under layers of Corp Firewalls.1:53Too deep for my shovel.1:54Did you say defected to Kang Tao?1:57Something on your mind?1:59If that rumor's true, know a way to dig deeper.
