Your character, you play the character Joe Goldberg.0:13Yeah.0:14Harmless name, innocuous name, not so harmless dude.0:17No.0:18The name that, the word that goes around lately is creepy.0:21So you're basically playing...0:22It's not a, it's not a hard enough word I think for Joe.0:25Really?0:25Yeah, but go on.0:27We're good with understatements here.0:28So you're basically playing a gentleman who's a stalker of the 21st century kind.0:34He's in love with a young lady, Guinevere Beck.0:37He goes to extreme measures to prove that love.0:40And considering the characters that you usually play, this one's a little different, a little darker, a little deeper.0:46How comfortable slash uncomfortable were you going there?0:49Both extremely. I was extremely comfortable because this is my job.0:53I was also extremely uncomfortable because this guy is as inhuman as any I think I'll ever play.0:59So it one I still learning about honestly It a question I still answering Like what is it to be this guy Because even right now I uncomfortable with him Really You know I am1:14But what it is has been an experience, an exercise,1:18and learning to trust the women around.1:19Because there's so many women who are part of this thing.1:21Carolyn Kepnes wrote the book.1:23Sarah Gamble wrote the show, co-created the show and co-wrote.1:27Elizabeth Lale, my co-star.1:29The countless directors and producers of each episode who are women.1:33And every step of the way, I'm like, so this is what we're doing, right?1:38Like, okay.1:39All right.1:39Okay.1:40I mean, I think along the way, I was always the one who was least sympathetic to Joe,1:47the least interested in humanizing him because he's a disgusting person.1:52So I have a complicated relationship to him.1:56That's a fair point.1:58So we'll look forward to seeing you in you on Lifetime.2:02Thanks.
